Overview

Along with the Escalade IQ and Celestiq, I had the opportunity to design and execute the demo scenario animations for Cadillac's concept car, the Sollei.

The SOLLEI concept envisions the tranquil art of travel and nature through personal connection and innovative use of materials. An homage to Cadillac heritage convertibles, each bespoke SOLLEI is intentionally and artfully designed, reflecting the personality and preferences of its owner. The challenge was to bring this sophistication and elegance into the design of the 55-inch dashboard screen UI, as well as the additional screens in the car.

Approach

My role on the team was to both finalize UI interaction behavior, 3D animations, and visual design throughout the vehicle, on top of bringing to life the main 55-inch diagonal display. The final version of the animated user flows were featured in the debut of this concept.

Car Debut

The display system animations were featured in the final concept car, which was featured I worked alongside UX and UI designers to build the composed driver and passenger 'story' which highlighted key functions and drive modes in the car. The SOLLEI was featured at Monterey Car Week 2024.
